This study was conducted to investigate an attitude realated to dental hygiene students’s clinical practice, a questionnaire survey was carried out for 160 second grader (151, answer rate 94.4%) in Taegu Junior Health College from 1st of October 1993 to 30th of October 1994. the results are as follow: A. Frequency(answer rate) classified by items 1. Among preconceptions and anxiety on the clinical practice, an anxiety about cinical practice(71.5%) was the highest. 2. Among hopitalization experience of family and an anxiety on clinical practice after students had practical training, students who had hospitalization experience(72.5%) showed higher answer rate than unexperienced students (56.5%) in a shortage of knowledge (P<0.05). 3. Among choice motive of dental hygiene department and an anxiety after students had practical training, self-will students(61.2%) showed higher answer rate than other-will students(37.5%) in wish DH-job in the future(P<0.05). 4. Among choice motive of dental hygiene department and satisfaction after students had practical training, self-will students(61.2%) showed higher answer rate than other-will students(37.5%) in regret of a major filed(P<0.05). 5. Among service experience of medical institution and an anxiety after students had practical training, students who is experienced(56.5%) showed lower answer rate than unexperienced students(77.3%) in a shortage of knowledge(P<0.05). It was revealed by this survey that students who had hospitalization experience of family and other-will students showed higher anxiety than unexperienced students and self-will students in anxiety on clinical practice, students who had service experience of medical institution showed lower anxiety than others, after students had practical training, so it is need prospective study with these variables.
